In one word: VORTEX

After 13 months of no long distance travel, staying put for Spring Break 2021 was not an option. We love travel. We need it for joy, inspiration, education and nearly a million other reasons. While deciding where to go, all I could think about was the word - VORTEX. A vortex is an area know for its healing properties, much of what I needed after a very sedentary 13 months, and Sedona certainly delivered. From the moment I drove into the region, I felt the weight of COVID lifting. Yes, the town can be super centered on tourism, but I like to think that means it caters to us newcomers and vacationers until we can eventually fend for ourselves in its outskirt areas. If you are looking for a less touristy scene, head to its neighbors, Oak Creek or West Sedona. Take a day trip north into the mountains, marvel at Coconino National Forest and definitely venture the two hours to the GRAND CANYON.., and stop EVERWHERE you can along the way!
