When the world shut down, we went to work.  EPIK 1 Travel is built on the ideas and efforts of Craig Bello.  Add some contributors (like Michelle and Kristine [me]) for creative design and editing and we have a business ready for take off >> pun intended.  

The name comes from Craig's BFF, Patrick (may he rest forever in peace) - The Epikoneder. So, when combining Craig's love for travel and its industry with Pat's tag - the EPIK 1 Travel title was born.

The company's mission is to help you find what luxury means to you and make it happen!  We aim to plan and book amazing travel and to add at least one aspect of that opulence into every trip you take through EPIK.

I was also one of Craig's first clients and boy did he deliver.  As an avid traveler, 3rd party sites were always my go to, until I realized what a travel advisor could do for the overall experience.  Matching the online discounted price of the luxury hotel, Craig was also able to add great perks.  $100 spa credit, early check in, welcome gifts delivered to the room and $40 food credits each day, adding to the awesome experience.  Not only did he hook up the hotel stay, he had the best advice available for the area.  Researching, booking plans and finding great deals through our host agency are all apart of what Craig does, and what we as travelers get to enjoy.

In one word: VORTEX

After 13 months of no long distance travel, staying put for Spring Break 2021 was not an option.   We love travel.  We need it for joy, inspiration, education and nearly a million other reasons. While deciding where to go, all I could think about was the word - VORTEX.  A vortex is an area know for its healing properties, much of what I needed after a very sedentary 13 months, and Sedona certainly delivered. From the moment I drove into the region, I felt the weight of COVID lifting. Yes, the town can be super centered on tourism, but I like to think that means it caters to us newcomers and vacationers until we can eventually fend for ourselves in its outskirt areas. If you are looking for a less touristy scene, head to its neighbors, Oak Creek or West Sedona.   Take a day trip north into the mountains, marvel at Coconino National Forest and definitely venture the two hours to the GRAND CANYON.., and stop EVERWHERE you can along the way!
